Import Texan (by way of Louisiana) Taylor Colwell says she is blessed to live her dream each day of helping others realize their dreams through real estate. Taylor moved to Belton from her hometown of Fredericksburg to attend the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she played soccer and earned a degree in Christian Ministry. After following her calling to work in camp and youth ministry for several years, she opened a small woodworking business where she crafted custom furniture. The venture proved to be an amazing creative outlet and led her into buying and renovating houses for reselling. After learning all she could about the real estate business, Taylor pursued her dream of becoming a realtor and broker.

When Taylor moved to Central Texas more than 20 years ago, she fell in love with the people and slower-paced lifestyle and knew she wanted to build her life here after college. In 2010, she married Kevin Colwell, and the couple now have three energetic boys, Edan, 11; Eason, 8; and Evan, 2 months. She enjoys leading worship at Foundation Church and has been known to coach her kids’ soccer teams from time to time. The family also enjoys going to football and baseball games, exploring Belton’s lakes on their pontoon boat, and visiting family and friends. Taylor and Kevin like to play golf whenever they get a chance, and Kevin also enjoys taking their two older boys hunting and fishing.
